Test Post 2

April is Celebrate Diversity Month! On Tuesday, April 9th, DCSI will be training leaders and Human Resources professionals on the importance of diversity in the workplace and how to create a well-balanced culture. This instructor led training course will be from 10:00-11:00 am in Fleming Island, FL. Instructed by our Vice President of Consulting, Megan Richardson- SPHR.

Diversity in the workplace has a whole new meaning when your organization has to look at gender identity requirements, same-sex relationships, generational differences, and developing a healthy corporate culture. Employee engagement helps you retain the best talent no matter how they identify, so take the proper steps to make your workplace a welcoming one.

Learning Objectives:

Learn what accommodations you need in place

Learn how to communicate effectively regarding gender identity

Identify key areas for policy and training updates

From Legal Requirements to Communication with Team Members, this interactive course will give you and your organization the Do’s and Don’ts of today’s diversity and drama best practices. Reducing the drama and bias in your workplace will create a positive and more productive environment.

According to Merriam-Webster, Diversity is the condition of having or being composed of different elements. In Human Resources, Diversity is often accompanied by the words “Inclusion” and “Strategy.” Much like the Melting Pot of America, we work with people of different genders, races, religions, ages, ethnicity, sexual orientations, and physical abilities, but do we actually embrace these differences to encourage a creative and thriving workplace?
